Dr Gerald Tracey studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (R.C.S.I) where he graduated with honours in 2009. He underwent Basic Medical Training in Ireland. After spending time as a Rheumatology Clinical fellow in Manchester (Salford Royal) he was accepted into Specialist Rheumatology training in the Southwest of the U.K., where the bulk of his training was in the world renowned Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (‘the min’) in Bath.
He has Memberships in Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland(R.C.P.I) and Rheumatology from Royal College of Physicians(R.C.P). He is trained in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and has publications related to PMR, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, CTD and Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Dr Gerald is interested in all aspects of General Rheumatology. He is interested in a holistic approach, creating a collaborative relationship with the patient including a strong emphasis on self-management and non-pharmacological strategies when appropriate. He is interested in the benefits of Sleep, Exercise, Mindfulness and Nutrition. He enjoys life on the Gold Coast with his partner Jade and surfing in his spare time.
