Dr Jacklyn Chay is a graduate of the University of Queensland having obtained both a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) and a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours. She completed her fellowship (FRACP) in Rheumatology in 2012.
Jacklyn has worked in private practice on the Gold Coast since 2013 and has clinical privileges at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital. She has previously been Treasurer of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Rheumatology Association and also Secretary. She has also worked on committees for the national ARA and chaired steering committees for national education meetings. Jacklyn is involved in the Women in Rheumatology Australia Special Interest Group and has a keen interest in teaching and mentoring trainees.
Jacklyn has a large practice and sees all rheumatological conditions. She is known to having a caring and friendly approach to her patients. She is a mother to two young children and in her spare time likes to stay active doing road and trail running.
